Heat and pop-up storms
Central Texas afternoons get hot, and a storm can build fast. Rain is usually a comfort call. Sustained wind of 15 mph is the stop line. Lightning means the kids get off. The full rules, including canceling when the driver arrives, are on the weather page.
Parks and power
Parks usually have no electricity, and spots are first come, first served. Book a generator, or use an outdoor outlet within about 100 feet of the setup spot. The party-day checklist covers the path, pets, and pickup.
Need a plan besides the bounce house? Local Family Fun lists Austin calendars and kid spots. Dates stay on those sites.
